Founder and Lead Fly Guy (LFG) Barry Danowski has always strived to dress, well, “fly”!

Kicking it back to the old days of shopping at Corn-Austin for International News and Guess (yeah, we’re revealing his age here, but if you know him, you’re well aware that he’ll forever be 21 years-old in his own mind), Barry D simply loves men’s clothing and shoes.

Barry D always wanted to own his own men’s shop and talked about it often, so back in the Summer of 2022, his son, Kyler, basically told him to stop “talking the talk and start walking the walk”.

He sat a lofty goal of opening on October 1 of 2022. But the real goal was to bring high quality men’s clothing to Mayfield and western Kentucky.

Make no mistake about it, Fly Guys Menswear (FGM) is a store for men. Sorry ladies, we love you, and you’re welcome to buy stuff for yourself or the men in your life, but you won’t find anything for ladies in FGM. We’re all about the fellas.

We’ve partnered with some traditional staples in the men’s clothing world and joined forces with some new and upcoming brands that are already well known in the Deep South.

From Southern Marsh to Duck Head, GenTeal to Horn Legend, Fish Hippie to Devil Dog, Jack Black to Saxx and Sarge Leather, you’re sure to find something at FGM.
